Quad copters and drones are starting to become much more popular lately and as such you’ll start seeing more and more of them available for much lower prices. This one in particular makes for a great quad copter for anyone that is starting to get into it. You’ll notice in the box that you have the quad copter itself, the battery charger, two extra batteries, an SD card, extra blades, the controller, as well as a screw driver that can be used to take off parts such as the prop guards, or the camera. The screw driver can also be used to swap out the blades, but I’ll go more in depth on that in a bit. The quad copter is already paired with the remote right out of the box and all you’ll need to do to get started is find some AA batteries for the remote and you’ll be ready to go. Once the batteries are inserted, you can turn on the remote and then turn the switch from off, to on that is on the copter itself. You’ll notice that the LED lights on the bottom portion of the quad copter are not flashing and you’re ready to get to flying. I would highly recommend you take this outside to a nice open area where there isn’t many trees, or anything that this could get stuck in. I personally started trying this inside and almost immediately regretted doing that because it just starts bumping into walls and knocking over everything in sight. Unless you have some prior experience with quad copters or drones, then I would recommend beginning outside. Once outside, set the drone on the ground with the camera pointing away from your body. The controls are very straight forward this way which can get confusing if you face it in other directions. The left stick controls the actual height of the copter, as well as letting you spin it. I would try to only start with taking it up and down once you begin to get the hang of it. As I mentioned a bit ago, I would suggest starting with the camera facing away from you because this makes the right stick easier to get the hang up. Pressing up on it, makes it go forward, down is back, left goes left, and right goes right. If you turn the copter in another direction then those controls will change which makes it a tad confusing so just keep that in mind.

well i know own a few of these all the same model they work great this is the best quad copter for the money i have one with out the camera and blade guards on it . i have put them threw a lot of bad things it was my first quad copter and i have put it in a lot of trees when i was learning how to fly .you need to have a open area to train in i go to the local school or track or football field or even the open parking lots when school is out . read the instructions and understand how to properly set up the quad copter and it will fly as it should . you can fly in light winds and keep in mind the higher you fly the winds get stronger fly in low speed mode and use high speed to bring the quad copter back if fighting winds i also change two of the blade out to the red ones so you can tell what side it the front and added reflective red tape to the front edge and underside to help aid in flying this it not for little kids their is a learning curve and i do need to add i get great photos and videos with it also i googled the transmitter mod to get extra range out of it too i hope this helps you great value

Purchased for my Nephew and He Loves it

I purchased the Dreamtek Inc Syma X5C-1 Quadcopter for my nephews and they love it, the fact that it comes with multiple batteries makes it more enticing. With all of the batteries charged it will last them about 45 minutes of play time. The cell phone feature is pretty nice as you can see that the plan sees. They use it all of the time. This was the perfect gift for them, it gets them out doors instead of being on the computer all day. Takes some getting use to, at first they would be chasing it down at the local park. They pretty much have the hang of it now. The drone is pretty smooth overall. Take off and flying it smooth once you get use to it. The build quality is pretty good, I can tell you how many times it fell, and i’m talking about from pretty high heights.

What the product lacks the CS makes up for!

The quadcopter itself is ok. I did have some issues with it. one of the propellors came off and I lost control of the drone. This resulted in a very unhappy 10 year old birthday boy. Luckily Dreamteck saved the day with amazing customer service! I will definitely buy again!!
